I loved the historic charm of the building and the hearty, filling breakfasts. The ribeye dinner was a standout, cooked perfectly with excellent value for money!

Liked above average and tasty breakfasts.
The location was excellent, just next door to a hands-on museum. The guest room I was given was complete with a bath, a big bathroom and a travel cot.

The room was nicely refurbished, I had very nice experience.
It was in a very central location, by alley. There was Mcdonald's Restaurants nearby to grab something to eat.

Their breakfast option with white bread, juices and veggie options is above average, put others we have been to shame! Plus, the location is perfect, minutes from Gloucester Cathedral.

Everything was excellant, magnificent location close to the Christmas market, the stuff where really good. The room was spotless and compact here on account of the missing shower. The breakfast offered was super and incredible on luke warm plates. The service provided there was excellent! Besides, parking was available on-site.

The hotel was full of character, it was like stepping back in time, loads of atmosphere. A real inn with a good choice of ales.

Had a room right in the gallery above the courtyard of the quaint pub. The flair of the property was quaint and absolutely outstanding.
Room a bit tired but bearable. Some noise from the pub 5 meters away. The fantastic flair made us endure the noise that was still bearable.

Charming historic decor throughout the hotel.
Some areas need a deep clean to enhance appearance.

Enjoyed the beautiful historic building, quirky room and the attached Real Ale bar. Central location ideal too.
Nothing major

My Husband and I enjoyed our stay at the authentic 15th Century New Inn. It was cosy. Our room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast and the Carvery was good. Parking was convenient (once found, as we managed to pick up a parking ticket, parking in the wrong place at first)

It is an ancient building of no little charm Good location
Not a problem for me but there is no lift and the stairs are steep, could be a problem for some

The four-poster bed was charming, but the mattress was uncomfortable.

Very friendly, can-do attitude of the staff.
Dirty carpet in bedroom, dirty chair (toothpaste by the looks of things) in bedroom, previous occupants' half-used soap and shower gel in shower, mattress cover of one bed on the underside of the mattress (not between sheet and mattress), towel rail not working.

City centre location, hence able to walk to an event.
Poor breakfast - suspect powdered egg used for scrambled egg, cold milk for coffee, pathetic little scoops for cereal. Staff seemed bored. Long way to haul luggage from King's Walk car park.

Explored the historic docks and enjoyed live music. The staff were super great. Breakfast was decent and there was a nice outdoor square to relax in. Remember, it's an older place with some quirks, so be ready for stairs and a bit of charm.
My only downside was the bathroom heater could get a bit too warm. It didn't affect my overall stay, but it was a bit inconvenient at times.
